A Weekend of Musical Improv in Sunny California
Welcome back for the second annual Bay Area Musical Improv Festival, bringing together musical improvisers from around the San Francisco Bay Area and across the country for a weekend of musical improv shows, workshops and jams.
Over four days, attendees will be able to watch 29 improv acts perform, attend workshops taught by visiting teachers, and jump in the fun themselves and jam with us. This is a weekend no musical improviser will want to miss!
It’s all happening October 22 - 25, 2026 at the All Out Comedy Theater in Uptown Oakland!
Mixer Teams
We're excited that this year's Bay Area Musical Improv Festival will be creating two Mixer Teams—ad-hoc teams made up of experienced musical improvisers who get to perform at the festival.
Each mixer team will have a performance slot on Saturday or Sunday of the festival.
The goal of the mixer teams is to provide performance opportunities to those who are not already performing in the festival. However the teams may also include some individuals who are already performing as part of an act in the festival.
The deadline to apply is August 15th.
